The morn

The human race still fears thy face,
The darkness in thy wake,
The children wise to be scared of what lie ahead,
For morn may never come in their heads,
To them poems of darkness whisper in their ears,
"The Bell will tolls for thee, but never more shall it be,"
The morn will never come, to thee who hears its ring.

The mirror image

In the light they show no fear,
Changing in shape,
In darkness the scream,
Cutting themselves only to heal,
For we are the ones they so long despise,
Forgotten shadows still linger,
But with no master they do as they wish,
Still screaming terror, pleading,
"Why won't it end?"
Yet they see us every day,
They hide in the bowels of their minds.
Only awaiting our tragic demise.

Black plague

Dashing through the wood,
Running for shelter in perilous pursuit,
Death quarted without consent,
Yet death by what name?
The fallen whisper...

Nothing

Worthless,
My life is not
full of happiness,
My heart is
full of sorrow,
This world can be
nothing important.

Child of morning

Night, still to the touch,
Child crying through'n'through,
Eyes gone dry without thought,
Father nights work is done,
Child of morn is soon to come,
Yet the day will come forth,
Child safe in mothers warm light.

Deaths queen

Black widow, my queen,
As black as death yet red as blood,
Blood from thy victims,
And the hourglass biding thy time,
Spanning deaths kiss,
Black widow lost in mist,
Love in black widows dear eyes.

Mighty tree

Tree as mighty as thee,
With bark brown and gritty,
Yet smooth as silk,
With roots like steel,
And thy whistling leaves,
Dear old tree as mighty as thee,
Is that truly all there can be?

Scarlet trust

Fox, oh, red fox,
Fur stained by scarlet tears,
Your tail tipped white by webs,
Webs of lies yet life,
Trick all you may, and trick all you must,
The bell tolls for all yet none,
Oh, fox of trust.

Midnight eye

Black bird, Black bird,
Of midnights eye,
Feathers blackened by fire,
Fire of blood yet night,
Cries of mourn yet cries of smite,
Cry, black bird, cry,
Oh cry, bird of midnight
